Destination weddings, honeymoons, and now … a babymoon?

Romance is always in the air here at the Gansevoort Turks + Caicos, and for very good reason.  The folks who take Caribbean vacations are often couples with love on their minds, and there is no better place for two hearts to commune than at the Gansevoort, the most romantic of the Turks and Caicos resorts.

Some come to celebrate the two biggest events for lovers—destination weddings and honeymoons—and we here at the Gansevoort play host to many Turks and Caicos weddings and Turks and Caicos honeymoons.

But something new has been afoot of late when it comes to Caribbean vacations for two, so new in fact that a new word has been coined to describe it: babymoon.

A babymoon is a romantic getaway that expectant parents take before the new arrival where they can relax, perhaps reconnect, and discuss the changes that will soon be visited upon their lives.

And the Gansevoort Turks + Caicos is hosting more than its fair share of babymooners.  So much so that we were recently featured in a travel segment on Today, a morning TV show broadcast from New York City.

Couples in love have been enjoying Turks and Caicos weddings and Turks and Caicos honeymoons for a very long time.  Now, its Turks and Caicos babymoons, right here at the Gansevoort, the most romantic of the Turks and Caicos resorts.

What will they think of next?

Will Wills and Kate Come Calling?

This is a land fit for a King.  Anyone who has ever been to the Turks and Caicos Islands can tell you that.

And for a King planning to wed his Queen, or to bring her someplace special after the ceremony to enjoy those first blissful post-nuptial days and nights, there is no finer place on Earth.

A Turks and Caicos wedding or a Turks and Caicos honeymoon is an enchanted event.  The sun, the sand, and the soft, supple evenings … this place was made for lovers.

And now British bookmakers are laying odds that the enchantment of these isles has been whispered into Royal ears.  The Turks and Caicos Islands are now second favourites in London betting shops (behind Africa) as the honeymoon destination of choice following the April 29 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in Westminster Abbey.

Will they come?  Plenty of English punters are betting plenty of English pounds that the answer is “Yes!”

The wedding day itself has already been made a national holiday here in Turks.  And now there is palpable excitement that an even greater event may come to visit in the days and weeks that follow.

Of course, you don’t have to be Royalty to enjoy a Turks and Caicos wedding or a Turks and Caicos honeymoon.  You can stay with us at the Gansevoort Turks + Caicos and we will help you plan your big day, right down to the last, luscious detail.

We can’t make you Royalty.  We’ll just make you feel like you are.
